Ravish Rouge · FAQ

Good questions, honest answers

Working with us, samples, the line, and how it’s labelled — the things worth knowing before you write the order.

The brand

What is Ravish Rouge?
A luxury knitwear label for the bold and the beautiful, designed in Los Angeles. Chic threads, redefined — pieces made to be worn, and to be noticed.
Why is everything red?
Because red is the whole idea, not an accent. Most elevated knitwear arrives in oatmeal, greige and charcoal — colours designed not to be noticed. We went the other way. Scarlet through to deep wine, and nothing that asks permission.
Where are you based?
Los Angeles. It shows up as attitude more than as a postcode: west coast light, a city built on reinvention, and knitwear for a climate that never asked for sweaters.

The list

What happens when I join the list?
You will be first to see new pieces, and first to know when something becomes available. That is it — no account to create, nothing to confirm.
How often will you email me?
Only when there is something worth showing you. No daily mail-outs, no counting down at you. You can leave at any time from the link in any email.
Can I buy something now?
Not yet. We are not open for orders, and we would rather say so plainly than pretend otherwise. Join the list and you will hear from us the moment that changes.

The pieces

How do the pieces fit?
They are cut for the missy fit — an easy, considered fit for a grown woman, neither clingy nor shapeless. Every piece will carry its own fit notes and a full measurement chart, so you can pick a size without guessing.
What sizes will you offer?
The size run is confirmed per piece and published alongside it. We would rather list it accurately when a piece is ready than promise a range now and revise it later.
What are the pieces made of?
The full composition is listed on every piece when it launches. We choose yarn for two things above all: how it feels against the skin, and how well it holds its colour.

Care

How should I wash a knit?
Cool hand-wash, or a gentle cycle in a mesh bag, then dry flat rather than on a hanger. Every piece carries its own care label, and that label wins over anything general said here.
Will the red fade?
Not if you treat it kindly. Wash cool, turn it inside out, and keep it out of direct sun while it dries. Colour that stays true is one of the things we choose yarn for in the first place.
What about pilling?
A little pilling early on is normal for a natural fibre, and it settles after the first few wears. A sweater comb or fabric shaver brings it straight back — gently, and in one direction.

Made carefully

How do you think about sustainability?
The greenest thing you can wear is the one you keep, so the honest version of sustainability for us is making something worth keeping. We make in small, deliberate runs and build pieces to outlast the trend that inspired them.
Do you have certifications to point to?
We are not going to claim one we have not earned. When there is a certification or a supply-chain detail we can stand behind in writing, we will name it here plainly — and not before.
